Happy Monday! It’s hot here so I am busy hiding under a rock. 😉
Spotted on my way home. Don’t they just look like the best of friends? I think the older one is sharing some tips with the newer one. Which one do you prefer?
Spring has sprung! It has been unbelievably gorgeous here. Abby is on Spring break so I took a few days off from work and we are enjoying a little “staycation”. Marcus has today off and we are headed for the Muir Woods! I hope your week has been wonderful.
On the walk home from dinner at our favorite pizzeria, Abby wished on the evening’s first star. She wished to see sparkly fireworks. Three blocks later, her wish came true.
“Mama, look. We live in a sparkle city.”
Abby: “Mama, does the water sparkle because of the sunshine and the wind?”
Me: “Well, yes.”
Abby: “Look Mama! When I do this (squints) with my eyes, it sparkles even more! And when I turn my head this way, it looks different. And when I turn my head this way, it looks different again!”
Ah, to see the world the way a four year old sees the world. This is one of my greatest goals in life.
But I don’t cross paths with many leprechauns in my daily life. Apparently, creepy wide eyed elves are another story.
Happy St. Patty’s Day!
